Dale Sorensen Real Estate Inks Exclusive Deal

Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) is pleased to announce the company has signed an exclusive multi-year sponsorship with the Vero Beach High School Fighting Indians football team’s Booster Club.  The deal, inked just last week, will bring two great home teams together on the field.

“We are extremely excited to form this partnership, bringing two of Vero Beach’s winningest teams, Vero Beach High School Fighting Indians, and Dale Sorensen Real Estate, working together towards one common goal,” said Dale Sorensen, Jr., Managing Partner for DSRE.  “We truly believe that supporting the youth in our community is lending support to our community’s future.  These kids work really hard on the football field, and in the classroom; we want them to know we are behind them all the way in their efforts to be the best they can be.”

The sponsorship came about after DSRE sales agent Dennis Miller, who is a Fighting Indians parent and a member of the Booster Club, learned about the sponsorship opportunity and brought it to Sorensen, Jr.’s attention.  “I really just saw a need at the school that needed to be fulfilled,” said Miller.  “And I know how philanthropic DSRE is, and how much they love to support kids in our community, so it made sense and seemed beneficial to both organizations to collaborate.  I think everyone will be really pleased with the results of this partnership.”

The Dale Sorensen Real Estate logo will be featured on the North side of the scoreboard at the newly renovated Citrus Bowl at Vero Beach High School. They will also be running commercials, produced by the student graphics class at the school, on the Jumbotron.  In addition, the company will have the opportunity to hand out branded items at the football games when season begins in the fall.  DSRE’s logo will also be included on the Tervis Tumblers handed out at the booster cub’s annual golf tournament.

Despite political union, Europe remains a stark continent of huge contrast – north and south, left and right, east and west. The relative wealth and power of the northern nations seem at odds with the hardship and austerity currently experienced by those in the south. It seems you can have a warm climate or a warm economy but not both. The impact of middle-eastern turmoil, the resulting migration of millions of people and terrorist atrocities in cities such as Paris are affecting real estate buying decisions across mainland Europe in a way not seen since the 2008 credit crisis. In the UK – which is readying itself for a referendum later this year to determine if it stays in or heads out of the European Union forever – has also imposed higher real estate taxation making investment less attractive to buyers from home and abroad and adding to the malaise. Nevertheless house prices in the UK have risen ten per cent over 2015, mainly due to low inventory.

 
With the economic slowdown particularly in China and South America, and the slump in worldwide oil prices the appetite for prime city-centre property has been blunted in many places globally for the time being at least.
There is plenty of worrying news to concern international real estate buyers. But in any financial cycle there is usually at least one world region which offers investors a safe and attractive place to live and to enjoy the benefits of a secure culture. Right now that is the US. With the economy there steadily improving and pockets of exciting opportunity across the nation, not to mention many areas of warmth in climate and welcome, the US offers real estate buyers the safe haven they crave. No market likes uncertainty and the upcoming general election in the US later this year provides plenty of scope for some of that. This will naturally intrigue overseas observers who no doubt will have concerns. But despite this North America still provides many exciting opportunities. From a lengthening list of key city investment locations headed by New York to the foremost leisure and vacation areas the US and Canada should once again be the country of real estate opportunity in 2016.

Dale Sorensen Real Estate Welcomes Mike Hughes

Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) is pleased to announce that Mike Hughes has joined the company’s team of real estate professionals. Hughes, who joined DSRE earlier this summer, will specialize in the buying side of transactions.

Hughes was in property management in southern California for nearly 20 years. Prior to moving to Florida, he spent time as a real estate agent in Hawaii. “I bought and sold real estate as an investor for 7 years prior to arriving in Florida,” Hughes said. “So I understand the value of homes from the perspective as both a seller and a buyer.”

He said he knew immediately this was home when he arrived in Florida 2 years ago. “I fell in love with Vero Beach as soon as I visited the community and knew this was going to be my home. I love the weather and the people here.” Hughes enjoys a multitude of sports offered in the community including volleyball, bowling and biking down highway A1A.
